Young People’s Workshop (updated 20-7-2014)

This summer we are hoping to run a series of workshops for young people on drama-related topics such as make-up, props, costumes, scenery making, lighting, sound and, of course, acting. The workshops will start on Monday, 4th August, and run each day of that week, culminating in a performance for parents and friends on Saturday evening, August 9th. The sessions will run from 10 am to 4 pm daily and are open to anyone who is aged 8 years or older on August 3rd. We are holding a meeting upstairs in the Supper Room of the Public Hall on Thursday July 24th at 7 pm for anyone interested. In the past, these workshops have been very popular and great fun for everyone (as well as quite messy).

Autumn Production (updated 20-7-2014)

The first series of“Talking Heads” was a great success for Alan Bennett and also for GADS. Funny, touching and intriguing one-handers, a challenge for actors and a good opportunity for budding directors. We are interested in presenting three of the second series as our autumn production. Why not join us in the Supper Room of Gosforth Public Hall on Wednesday, July 30th at 7.30 pm, for a reading if you are interested as actor, director or audience?
